Takefu white paper steel with a carbide core. The handle is from an old fire struck dwarf cedar /juniper tree found of the slope of the hill leading up to the medieval tower at Castelnou France. Note the scorch hole. A copper bolster and brass ferrule strengthen the wood. This knife is a 'scent' blade; the wood handle is tight grained and resin heavy.
